David John Bryant, CBE, is a three-time World Singles bowls champion and also a three-time World Indoor Singles champion who has won 5 Commonwealth Games Gold medals. Our local superstar Bryant was born in Clevedon back in 1931.

  • Winner of numerous International Tournaments including two Superbowl, two UK Singles, three Kodak Masters, four Gateway Masters and two Woolwich Masters
  • Sportswriters Award for ‘Outstanding Achievement in Sport’ 1979 (awarded after David won singles gold medals at 4 Commonwelath Games (Perth, Edinburgh, Christchurch and Edmonton).Gold medals in 4 separate Games was a Games record.
